Maintenance Clinic and Zombie Apocalypse Preparedness Workshop

  • Sunday, April 21, 2013
  • 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM
  • Chuckchansi Park in Downtown Fresno
On Sunday at Chuckchansi Park, during the regularly scheduled Grizzlies Baseball Game, there will be a Mini Maker Faire, organized by the Grizzlies and Fresno Ideaworks. At that Mini Maker Faire will be... the FCBC!

We are going to be set up under a shady tent, with a bicycle work stand, some bicycles, tools, and knowledge to share. You know what they say... Knowledge is power. Come by and visit. We'll teach you how to fix a puncture in your bicycle tire, and we'll demonstrate some more advanced bicycle maintenance and repair.

We believe in empowering people with knowledge, and we believe that riding a bicycle will improve your life. You'll save money, get healthy, and improve the environment. It's easy to keep a bicycle in excellent working order with a few home tools and some TLC.

Additionally, these skills will come in handy in the event of a zombie apocalypse. Have you noticed in the zombie movies how the hero's car always runs out of gas or breaks down at JUST the wrong moment? You'll be much more likely to escape the undead hordes, navigating easily around disabled and abandoned diesel pickup trucks, if you're riding a well-maintained bicycle.

So come by during the game and we'll share some tips. More details on the MiLB Web site, and check out the flyer.
