Free bike lights for riders without them in Fresno to improve night visibility and safety

Light Up the Night! is a pop-up outreach program from the Fresno County Bicycle Coalition. As we move through Fresno, we stop and talk with people who have bicycles and offer them front (white) and rear (red) rechargeable USB lights—for free! We’ll even help attach them on the spot.

There’s no fixed schedule—our volunteers go where the need is. Sometimes that’s Roeding Park, sometimes downtown Fresno, sometimes wherever we find riders without lights. One set per person, while supplies last.

Each set of lights is more than just equipment—it’s a brighter ride home, a serious crash prevented, maybe even a life saved. We’ve already distributed 125 light sets, and we’re just getting started.
